Heartbeat allows creators, coaches, & online experts to build a thriving community business — with discussions, courses, payments, events, documents, workflows, matchmaking, and directories — all on their own website.

We launched Heartbeat 2 years ago and used that time to...

  • build a beautiful, feature-rich product across web, desktop, iOS, and Android

  • bring on +5,000 customers who are creating engaging, inclusive, and meaningful communities

  • raised funding from a world-class team of builders, advisors, & investors with experience crafting billion-dollar products

We’re a cozy team of 6, fully remote, and looking for the next Hearchitect to join our team 💕

✅ What you'll do...

  • Evangelize Our Customer Community: Manage our community of +2,500 customers, organizing 3-4 live zoom events/month to generate leads, and optimize our affiliate program (+1K affiliates).

  • Channel Selection & Optimization: Identify distribution channels and choose where to double-down through rapid experimentation & testing. Today, most growth comes from our customer community, affiliates/referrals, paid search, email marketing (+15K), and product-driven WOM.

  • Campaign Strategy Execution: Use your budget to choose & define experiments with clear success metrics across several different distribution channels including SEO, live virtual events, content marketing (social + email), and affiliate marketing, and continuously optimize for better performance.

  • Data Analysis and Performance Tracking: Monitor campaign performance metrics such as click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, cost per acquisition (CPA), and return on ad spend (ROAS). Based on data analysis, make adjustments to campaigns to improve performance.

  • Manage Agency Relationships: Work with a roster of specialized marketing agencies (with several that you will hire yourself) to manage the levers that contribute to Heartbeat’s growth.

  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Stay updated on community industry trends, conduct market research, and analyze competitors to find new opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.

  • Hiring a TikTok creator & helping define content strategy with them

  • Becoming the Platinum sponsor for a podcast & working to co-market their episodes and find new guests

  • Building a 6-month email nurture sequence for leads that didn’t convert

  • A/B test sign-up form designs to increase completions by ~30%

  • Designing a weekly “group orientation session” for new Hearties, run by one of our founders

🔍 What we're looking for...

  • Experience with automation tools like Zapier, Make, Airtable, Notion

  • Experience with growth tools like Mailerlite, Webflow, Google Analytics, Hubspot (CRM + Workflows)

  • 3-5 yrs experience in a revenue-driving role (growth, sales, marketing, etc.)

  • Experience running & managing multiple growth experiments at once

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights

  • Outstanding communication skills to run customer calls/events

  • Bias towards actions — you fix the problems around you of your own volition

  • Have built or led a community before (online groups, college orgs, local soccer club, etc.)

  • Have previously founded a startup or agency (we LOVE working with founders!)

  • Have scaled GTM operations in a seed or series A startup
